Sayonara KK

Time to say goodbye to KK. Its been a very long 5 days...

Before leaving for the airport, we managed to grab a bite at Fish & Co in town.

Azidah's grilled salmon.
And by the time the rest of our food arrived, we were too hungry to take any photos...

Last stop: KK Airport

Everybody is so ready to go home...

Islah was also on the same flight home...

Day 6

My fever was full blown in the morning, while Azidah had hers the day before.

After breakfast I took Azidah for a walk at the harbour to show her the crystal clear waters of Sutera Harbour.

Azidah striking a pose despite being under the weather.

The crystal clear water - the little blue tailed fish swimming away without a care...

Garden view.

Harbour view.

Mandara Spa here I come...

Made an appointment for muscle ease massage after the morning walk.

Day 5

Second day into the conference. The casualty began. One by one was down with fever, from being overworked and extreme fatigue.

Some of us perservere but inside, only god knows how tired we were.

Right after packing was done, we were off to town.

In the midst of running a fever, I still managed to shop.

Retail therapy was what I needed.

Dinner was eventful. Food aplenty.

At awe with the blue neon light...

Some 'siput' and squid that's supposed to be our 'sabah vege' dish...

White clam with ginger sauce.

Mantis prawns.

Chilli crabs.

Steamed buns to be eaten with the chilli crabs.

Depite the tiredness, we managed to eat the food and after that Erlena and I decided to call it a night while the rest went on...

Day 4

The D-day. Opening ceremony went well. Thereafter I was off to settle the VIP seating arrangements for the night's event.

It was indeed a pleasant surprise when WR showed up at Tarik's Lobby Lounge for a cuppa coffee.

Someone said that Tarik's Lobby Lounge serves the best karipap in the whole of Sabah. But we think Fatimah's karipap sardin is the best in the whole world!

Day 3

Checked out of Le Meridien and checked in Pacific Sutera.

While some of us had to handle golf tournament the rest stayed back at Sutera Harbour to help salvage the event.

No pictures could describe our bustling activities the day prior to D-day.

Day 2

The real work begins....

Break-time
We took the scenic route to the Pacific Sutera's 'Cafe Boleh' for lunch...

Boat ride anyone???

Crystal clear water of the harbour.

A school of fish, so carefree swimming in the harbour...

Much to be said about the land beneath the wind but I was there with colleagues for work... And work was almost all we did!

In the flight on the way to KK

Little did we know that there were mountains of challenges awaiting us...

Day 1

First stop: Check-in at Le Meridien KK

Then off for a meeting at Sutera Harbour Resort. Lunch was served.

Erlena's Rendang galore. Her lunch was interupted by series of discussions. A lot of things to be sorted out...

Desert was only nice to look at but tasteless... Looks can indeed be deceiving.

Lunch was followed by a meeting elsewhere for a more serious discussion.

After hours of discussions to iron out details, it was night time and we were so ready to go back to our hotel.

While waiting for the taxi, we were entertained with the cultural show at the lobby.
